Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides the basics of cooking that anyone can master. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also studied Italy's culinary tradition and culture, along with the natural landscape. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. I was never able to learn or do enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year learning in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food and culture. It is a huge influence on the way she prepares her food. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate, where she raises awareness about the condition of children with diabetes. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her experiences in the food world as she frequently travels throughout the US in the roles of mentors and speakers. Anne said she felt lucky in that she could communicate her love of cooking to others.
